Smash hit stunt show for Suncorp

Jaw-dropping jumps, skillful stunts and madness on motorbikes, BMX and skateboards will take centre stage when the world’s biggest action sports touring act, Nitro Circus, debuts its all new You Got This tour at Suncorp Stadium on February 23, 2019.

Minister for Sport Mick de Brenni said the show at Suncorp Stadium would be one of the biggest in Nitro Circus history.

“Nitro Circus has earnt a cult-like following, with its athletes pushing themselves to the limits on the biggest ramps in action sports,” Minister de Brenni said.

“I’m told the two new ramps making their debut in the Australian tour are so big that they can’t fit into an indoor arena, so I can’t wait for Queenslanders to see what Nitro Circus has in store for this tour,” he said.

“This is exhilarating stuff – Queenslanders will be on the edge of their seats, hearts racing and adrenaline pumping.

“I reckon if you show up to Nitro Circus, you’ll be raring to jump on a BMX or grabbing a skateboard to get your thrill on again and again.”

Nitro Circus ringleader, Travis Pastrana said Australian fans could look forward to never before seen stunts.

“Progression in action sports is my aim, and with these ramps, the biggest ramps in action sports, Australia is in for the greatest shows in Nitro Circus history,” Mr Pastrana said.

“These ramps are literally too big for indoors, and we can’t wait to get to Suncorp Stadium and perform in front of the crazy Brisbane fans!”

Suncorp Stadium General Manager Alan Graham said he was looking forward to welcoming Nitro Circus to the stadium for the first time and confident the event would have minimal impact on the field.

“The promoters of Nitro Circus have fine-tuned the types of equipment they use to ensure minimal residual impact on the field,” Mr Graham said.

“We have worked very closely with them on the set up to make certain this will be the case,” he said.

“Key stadium personnel went to Canberra recently to view Nitro Circus in action, which allowed them to assess the necessary preparations, event operations and remedial works first hand to enable our playing surface to remain in top condition for our next event.”
