Minister for Community Services, Housing and Minister for Women Karen Struthers will visit Rockhampton today to launch the Bligh Government’s new strategy to reduce domestic violence.
A local $2.7 million trial is one of the key initiatives under the strategy – For our sons and daughters: A Queensland Government strategy to reduce domestic and family violence 2009-2014.
State Member for Keppel Paul Hoolihan will also attend the launch.
